Liza Vertinsky
Liza Vertinsky is an Associate at the intellectual property law firm of Wolf, Greenfield & Sacks, P.C. in Boston, MA. She is a member of the firm's Biotechnology and IP Transactions Practice Groups and specializes in licensing and, more generally, in the implementation of intellectual property strategy through agreements. Liza works with life science and high tech clients of all sizes and stages of development, including biotech and pharmaceutical companies, university clients, and individuals and companies in the computer hardware, software, and media industries. She has particular experience in assisting entrepreneurs and emerging companies with strategic issues involving the development, acquisition, leveraging, and other use of intellectual property, including strategic partnerships and joint venture counseling and technology transfer counseling. She has supported the New England entrepreneurship community through her involvement in non-profit entrepreneurship organizations such as WEST (Women Entrepreneurs in Science and Technology) and NFTE (National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship) and has a strong interest in social entrepreneurship and development. Liza is admitted to the Massachusetts Bar and is a member of the Licensing Executives Society, Association of University Technology Managers, American Law and Economics Association, and the American, Massachusetts, and Boston Bar Associations. She is also a member of the America Civil Liberties Union Science & Technology Committee.
